Egyptian Goddesses

Tefnut 

Tefnut is the goddess of moisture.  She is pictured as a woman with the head of a lioness.  Tefnut is the wife of Shu, mother of Nut (the sky), and the mother of Geb (the earth).

Nut 

Nut is the sky goddess because she is an Egyptian goddess whose body arches across the sky.  Nut was the sister and wife of Geb and the mother of Isis, Osiris, Nepthys, and Seth.  The ancient Egyptians believed that at the end of the day Nut swallowed the sun god Ra and gave birth to him every morning to provide sun to the universe.

Isis 

Isis is pictured as a goddess with a headdress in the shape of a thron, a pair of cow horn, and a sun disk.  Isis was a protective goddess and used powerful magic spells to help people in need.  Isis was the wife of Osiris and the mother of Horus.

Nephthys 

Nephthys was the goddess of the dead.  She is pictured as a woman with a headdress that shows her name in hieroglyphics.  Nephthys was the sister of Isis and Osiris, the sister and wife of Seth, and the mother of Anubis.
